Date announced for 'IP Networking over Satellite' Workshop

Frank Zeppenfeldt, Communication Engineer and Roberto Donadio, Applications and Standardisation Principal Engineer are organising the event which is being held at ESA/ESTEC in Noordwijk the Netherlands on 24 and 25 May 2004. This workshop will provide an excellent forum for the exchange of practical experiences in the IP networking satellite community; and an occasion to present developments initiated under the ESA R&D programme which are of interest to the scientific and industrial community.

The workshop will feature five presentation sessions and end with an open discussion. The five sessions will cover 'Interactive Systems', 'Integration of DVB-RCS with other technologies', 'New Protocols and IP interworking', 'Interworking for Novel Satellite Systems',  and finally 'Simulators and Quality of Service'. Speakers from across Europe will be available to answer your questions and give insight into a wide array of topics. Last years workshop attracted over 90 persons.

On 26 May, three presentations will be given on: Transport Protocol and Resource Management for Mobile Satellite Networks, Digital Signage, Integrated Resources and QoS Management for DVB-RCS networks. Questions regarding the presentations on this third day should be sent to Erling Kristiansen.

Both the workshop and presentations have limited space, so those wishing to attend are advised to register well in advance of the event. Registration information can be obtained by clicking on the links on the right of this page, along with a complete itinerary of the event.

The latest version of the agenda has also been put online.

Please be aware that a separate registration is necessary if you wish to attend the presentations on 26 May.
