Iris Industry briefing planned for October 15

The Agency will hold a conference call to brief interested companies on Wednesday, 15 October 2008 from 15:00 to 16:00. (CET).  Interested parties are asked to confirm their intention to attend by e-mail to: Marie-Benjamine.Moothien@esa.int.

To improve the sound quality, during the conference telephones should be kept on "mute" until the time when the caller wishes to ask a question. The briefing will address activities' content, procurement approach, schedule and will include a Q&A session at the end.

Interested parties are invited to download the three documents found under the documentation heading in the top right column of this page. These documents will serve as a basis for the conference call. Questions can be emailed to marie-benjamine.moothien@esa.int and answers will be given during the briefing.

Iris, Element 10 of the ARTES Programme, is the ESA programme to develop a new Air-Ground communication system for Air Traffic Management as the satellite-based communication solution for the SESAR programme. Phase Two of the programme is planned to start in 2009 and focuses on the development of a new satellite-based communication system including a new satellite communication standard, which performance will be validated end-to-end with a subset of the infrastructure required for the future European ATM System.
