Objectives
- The project objectives are
a new burst demodulator product that will add the following values to the Dialog system:
- Futureproof CPM burst demodulator with enhanced capabilies (extended frequency range, enhanced redundancy & reliability, improved network synchronisation)
- Return Access technology flexibility due to same HW MCD7000 used for the different types of return access technologies (S2, S2-ext, HRC, CPM)
- Greatly reduced cost of BOM, resulting in a more scalable offering of Dialog towards the market.
These values contribute directly to the value creation of the Newtec Dialog system.
The resulting low cost C-band terminal based on the MDM2500, a delta HW variant of the exiting MDM2200, will result in additional business opportunity mainly in the Asia Pacific region.
