Another innovation is Artemis ion propulsion system, which is intended to accurately maintain its orbital position – a vital ability for future advanced comsats. After Artemis was launched into a faulty orbit the ion propulsion system was able to come to its aid and gradually help nurse the spacecraft up to its planned geostationary orbit.
