OPS-SAT VOLT & Lunar Communications Industry Day
The UK Space Agency (UKSA) and European Space Agency (ESA) will be running a joint optical and lunar communications industry day in Bristol on 14th September 2022.
The focus of the day will be the launch of two parallel competitions. The first competition, OPS-SAT VOLT, will be to develop the next generation optical and quantum payloads, alongside developing the platform and ground segment. The second competition will be the UK’s first dedicated commercial lunar communications call.

ESA-Oxford University Course: Satellite Communications and Navigation: Technologies, Markets and Applications
This 5-day course gives a complete introductory overview of satellite communications and navigation. The target audience is graduates and young professionals with an engineering and/or financial background and senior professionals wishing to expand their background towards satcoms systems and services. The course has been developed by specialists from the European Space Agency (ESA) in conjunction with leading industry experts.
5th ScyLight Workshop on Optical Communication
This is an annual event for European and Canadian Industries as well as ESA technical experts to showcase the latest developments in the domain of optical and quantum communication technologies under the ScyLight umbrella and beyond. It will be a unique opportunity to present your results and gain an overview of ongoing activities. The event will give you a chance to discuss, network and exchange with colleagues from both ESA and industry.
4S Symposium
The programme will cover technical sessions, such as mission and system analysis, applications such as Earth observation, science, telecommunication and navigation, new technologies at system, sub-system and component level. A special session will be dedicated to small satellites access to space, addressing launchers and platform cross-compatibility.
