The objective is to provide to various stakeholders, amongst which decision makers, the result of security risk scenario triggering and the impacts on the system in a visual manner. This 3D visualisation of the risk and of its impact should provide a better understanding of risk and situational awareness. It is thus a concrete operational tool for decision-making process. The final purpose is to improve the understanding of security risk profiles and potential impacts on a satellite constellation, and to improve the protection of such a system.
The major challenges of this prototype are to:
- Define the data model allowing standardisation of an EBIOS-RM risk analysis.
- Enrich information issued from different sources.
- Graphically track and propagate the attack scenarios on the map and its 3D objects.
This project targets significant improvements in the understanding of Security Risk Management, identification of potential threats, and decision-making capabilities.
The RASA prototype is based on 3 main features:
- Security risk assessment tool.
- Data modeling.
- 3D rendering.
The high-level project architecture is shown in the figure below:
The RASA project is structured in the following phases:
- Market and feasibility study.
- Development of the data modelling engine and 3D rendering engine.
- Integration and qualification.
- Training and support.
The exploration phase including market study and threat scenarios identification is complete. The security risk assessment data and external data such as constellation architecture and MITRE techniques and tactics are under integration in the data modelling engine. Next step consists in 3D objects definition and configuration.
