Satellite reception parameters

The IP/DVB transmission will be uplinked from ESA-ESTEC (station code: HOL-ESA-008) to Hellas-Sat 2 satellite at 39 deg. east orbital position.

See below for the downlink coverage of transponder F1 (more details about Hellas-Sat satellite can be found at the Hellas-Sat Website, including pointing angles for different countries, see external links).

For most places in Europe a 1.0 to 1.2 m antenna diameter is sufficient for proper reception.

Below find the necessary satellite parameters for the transmission of the TAW2006:

Satellite:

Hellas-Sat 2 @ 39 deg E

Downlink frequency:

12.730766 GHz

Polarisation:

Horizontal

Symbolrate:

2222 kSym/s

FEC:

½

PID:

246 and 247 (decimal)

When using a Broadlogic DVB adapter, the settings should be as the following pictures show:

Ensure the settings are correct for the LNB you are using at the antenna. In most cases the L.O. frequencies will be 9.750 GHz (for low band) and 10.600 GHz (for high band), using a dual frequency universal LNB (see below):
