These activities shall include the definition and characterisation of the set of applications relevant for the identified servicesegments. The applications requirements shall be characterised in terms of use cases, their functional specification andperformance requirements. Furthermore an analysis shall be made to determine the benefits of new stand-alone applications versusthe integration into existing application or system frameworks as e.g. Java or Symbian based 3G terminals, car dashboards, ... Adevelopment roadmap will be proposed together with the supporting trade off analysis, which will be aimed to justify the proposedapproach and position the proposed applications products with respect to potential competitors. All required elements of theapplications will be then developed and/or procured. An approach for integrating the developed application into one of the systemplatforms shall be proposed and possible additional required developments carefully justifie
